The Best Opportunities in the UK

The most credible and lead recruiting expert, Hays, has recently disclosed the top ten best opportunities in the UK—essentially the job fields of highest current demand.

Due to long developmental cycles, the pharmaceutical industry has earned placement at the top of this “Most Wanted” listing. Other areas, including regulatory affairs, medical economics, and statistical programming are doing relatively well as safety measures increase and prescription markets create higher necessity for the examination and scrutiny of health products.

The second greatest demand was shown to be banking positions within the city.  Namely, banks are on the hunt for revenue generating employees who can interact with clients, possess a solid experience with banking, and are well versed in management.

Also enjoying a more secure job demand and environment are doctors, social workers, and other kinds of healthcare professionals.

Also in high demand are technical vacancies as the IT industry has been booming, leaving quite a gab of IT jobs yet to be filled. In fact, the job numbers of risen by almost 30% in the  year 2010. This is hugely due to the release of Microsoft’s high profile Windows 7—a major software launch that created increased need of IT staff to support home and small business users.

Another huge field just happens to be non-banking finance jobs, according to the comprehensive report by Hays. At a time when companies are always looking towards saving money, recently qualified accountants are quite a hot commodity—as well are analysts who observe where cost and process savings are made.

Other expanding markets include the energy industry, digital marketing, legal professions, insurance jobs and social housing. These positions are at an ever-growing rate and therefore present adequate demand for competent professionals to fill vacancies.

If you possess interest in any of the above fields, or are simply looking to cater your profile around a particular industry, the Hays disclosure could be quite handy to your search.
